Meet Brennan Carmody, FNP-c
Your Partner in Creating Miracles
I’m a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (AANP) licensed in Idaho and Washington. I am the founder of Sacred Roots Fertility Consulting. I combine Western reproductive medicine with functional, root-cause fertility care to help women and couples move from confusion to clarity. I approach fertility like a marathon, not a sprint—because pregnancy begins long before conception. My role is to help you train well through functional lab testing, personalized protocols, and faith-based support so your body is ready for the journey ahead. At Sacred Roots, faith and medicine work hand-in-hand. I believe God designed your body with wisdom, purpose, and the ability to heal, sometimes it just needs the right guidance to do so.

My Approach
I approach fertility like a marathon, not a sprint. You wouldn’t show up to race day without training, nourishing your body, and building endurance, and pregnancy is no different. The months leading up to conception are your training ground. My role as your Nurse Practitioner is to help you train well, using functional lab testing (hormone panels, DUTCH, GI-MAP, thyroid and micronutrient testing) to uncover the “why.”Creating personalized nutrition and supplement protocols to balance hormones and support egg and sperm health.Using data driven tools like the Mira Fertility Monitor to track real hormone trends, not guesswork.Every plan is evidence-based, individualized, and rooted in the belief that your body was designed with incredible wisdom and resilience.
You Are Not Alone
My calling to this field is deeply personal—shaped by my own journey through infertility, miscarriage, and ultimately, the joy of a successful pregnancy. This lived experience, combined with my professional background, gives me a unique perspective on the physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges that come with fertility struggles.
I specialize in fertility health optimization, cycle tracking, emotional and spiritual support, and preconception wellness. I’m passionate about empowering my clients with the knowledge and strategies they need to embrace hope, trust God’s plan, and take meaningful steps toward growing their families.

Brennan’s Unique Fertility Journey
Fourteen years ago, my husband Shane and I decided to start a family. Like so many couples, we were filled with excitement and hope, eager to welcome a child into our lives. Our journey began quietly, without much fanfare. After a year of trying to conceive, I turned to my OB-GYN, seeking answers for my irregular cycles and difficulty conceiving. A single round of Clomid and a trigger shot brought us our first miracle—our son, Brek.
At the time, I was just starting my career as a nurse practitioner. I didn’t yet recognize the subtle signs of fertility challenges in my own health. It all seemed straightforward, almost simple, as though we just needed a little nudge. But as my experience in women’s health deepened, so did my understanding of the complexities of fertility. I began to notice patterns in my own cycles—patterns that hinted at underlying issues.
When Shane and I decided to grow our family, I already knew the journey might be harder this time. I had been diagnosed with PCOS and anticipated needing medication again to regulate my cycles. Confident in our previous success, I started down the same path: Clomid. When we discovered I was pregnant after the first round, our joy was uncontainable.
But joy quickly turned to heartbreak. At a routine ultrasound at ten weeks, the air in the room shifted. The sonographer’s face changed, and then I saw it—the unmistakable shape of twins. But neither baby was measuring on track. Neither had a heartbeat. In an instant, our dreams shattered. I knew we had lost them. The grief that followed was profound and consuming.
The years that came next tested us in ways we never imagined. Miscarriage followed miscarriage, each loss a fresh wound on our hearts. Despite my medical background as a fertility nurse practitioner and the incredible support of my colleagues, the emotional toll was immense. Every pregnancy that ended too soon was another wave of heartbreak, another layer of doubt about whether our dream of expanding our family would ever come true.
Eventually, our path led to IVF—a journey that would demand everything we had. The first round of IVF only produced one embryo, which deemed us necessary to do a second round. After 2 rounds of IVF we finally got to do embryo transfer. From the start, it was fraught with challenges: low HCG levels, unexplained bleeding, and an overwhelming fear that this, too, would end in loss. Yet somehow, through a combination of science, faith, and sheer determination, we made it. Our daughter, Berkeley, was born—a living testament to the power of hope and resilience.
Looking back, I know that no fertility journey is ever the same. Each story is shaped by its own struggles and victories, its own unique pain and joy. My journey has taught me more than I could have ever imagined—not just as a nurse practitioner, but as a woman and mother. It has given me a profound empathy for those navigating infertility and a calling to walk alongside them with faith, compassion, and evidence-based care.
This is why I founded Sacred Roots Fertility—to be the support, guide, and advocate I wished I’d had in my darkest moments. To remind you that you are not alone. To help you find hope, healing, and ultimately, the miracle that is waiting for you.
